The Running Stitch

This stitch is great for outlines, lettering, securing seams and even as a filler stitch

The Whipped Running Stitch
The Whipped Running Stitch uses the running stitch as it's base stitch. This is a great stitch for outlines and lettering. You could also use it for stems or stalks of plants, if you used two shades of green for example.

The Threaded Running Stitch
This stitch uses the Running Stitch as the foundation stitch. It's a very decorative little stitch and very easy to do.

The Woven Star
This is quite tricky to begin with but the more you do it, the easier it will become.

Woven Picot 3D Rose
This 3d rose is made using the Woven Picot Stitch. It's a bit fiddly but creates a beautiful rose!

The Woven Oval
This member of the Woven stitch family is perfect for flower petals and leaves, it's realy lovely!


The Braided Chain Stitch
This stitch uses the chain stitch as a foundation. It's a good chunky stitch and would be great for borders and outlines.

The Cable Chain Stitch
This is quite tricky to get the hang of. You can slow the video down in the settings (look for the little cog at the bottom)

The Reverse Chain Stitch
This starts with a lazy daisy stitch and then it's just a different way of doing the chain stitch! So easy, give it a go! It's perfect for text, curvy lines and especially good if you want to make something look like a knitted garment like a hat or sweater!

The Interlaced Chain Stitch
This is a nice easy breakdown of the Interlaced Chain Stitch for hand embroidery

The Twisted Chain Stitch
This is the Twisted Chain Stitch and I have done it before but his is a new video, with better video and (I hope) clearer instructions. I also show you a way at the end to make this stitch even prettier.

The Russian Chain Stitch
Think of this stitch as a clover shape built with three lazy daisy stitches! It's easy when you get the hang of it!

Feathered Chain Stitch
Perfect for adding some greenery to your embroidery as it makes a great stalk with leaves!

The French Knot Right Handed
This video shows you how to do the French Knot with one, two or three wraps and is for a right handed embroiderer

The Turkey Stitch
This stitch is perfect for grass, the center of flowers, bumble bee butts and so much more!

The Danish Knot
You can use this as a filler or scatter around for decoration

The Coral Stitch
This lovely knot stitch is easier than it looks! It is great for decorative borders and with some added stitches you can use this in a floral embroidery

The Whipped Fly Stitch
This cute variation of the Fly stitch, uses 'whipping' and would be great for seaweed!

The Twisted Fly Stitch
This looks difficult but it is actually quite simple <3

The Drizzle Stitch
This 3d stitch is a variation of the cast on stitch.
